Visa Information
Most visitors to Jordan can obtain a visa on arrival at Queen Alia International Airport or at border crossings. The visa fee is approximately 40 JDs (about $56 USD) and is valid for 30 days.
Some nationalities may require a visa in advance, so we recommend checking with your local Jordanian embassy or consulate or visiting the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the most up-to-date information.
Jordan Pass
If you’re planning to visit major attractions like Petra, Jerash, and Wadi Rum, consider purchasing the Jordan Pass. It waives the visa fee (if you stay in Jordan for at least 3 nights) and gives you access to over 40 sites.

Getting around Amman is easy with local yellow cabs, Uber or Careem, both of which are reliable and widely available.
For airport transfers, transportation from Queen Alia International Airport to the city costs around 20 JDs. You can take an airport taxi or arrange a pick-up with the hotel for added convenience.
If you’re planning to go sightseeing outside of Amman, the hotel can help organize transportation for you. We’ve let them know to provide special rates for our guests—just mention that you're part of our wedding when booking!
Downtown Amman, Roman Amphitheater & Citadel – Around 15 minutes from most central hotels
Explore Amman’s vibrant downtown with its local markets, cafés, and historic charm. Visit the impressive Roman Amphitheater and the Amman Citadel, which offers ancient ruins and beautiful views of the city.
Tip: Head to nearby Rainbow Street for great food, shopping, and sunset views.
Dead Sea – Around 1 hour from Amman
Relax and float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, known for its natural beauty and mineral-rich mud.
Tip: Bring sunscreen and avoid shaving right before swimming—the salt stings!
Mount Nebo – Around 1 hour from Amman
A historic and spiritual site with panoramic views over the Jordan Valley, believed to be where Moses first saw the Promised Land.
Tip: On clear days, you can see the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.
Jerash – Around 45 minutes from Amman
One of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, Jerash is known for its impressive ruins, colonnaded streets, and ancient theaters.
Tip: Go in the morning to beat the heat and crowds.
Petra – Around 4 hours from Amman
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra is a must-see with its breathtaking rock-carved architecture—don’t miss the iconic Treasury!
Tip: Wear comfy shoes and plan for a full day (or overnight) trip.
Wadi Rum – Around 4 hours from Amman
Known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum offers stunning desert landscapes, jeep tours, and the chance to stay in a Bedouin camp under the stars.
Tip: Combine with a Petra trip for the full experience!
